Sad that there isn't a way to obtain a DVD of this event for those of us who have to stay on the homefront to care for orchids and critters. Would be more than willing to purchase a copy of such a DVD. I'm proud that a long-time friend in orchids, Theresa Hill, will be a speaker. Theresa has worked long and hard hybridizing and flasking her crosses primarily in Miltoniopsis, Odonts, Masdevallias and Paphs. She's making a major contribution to the orchid world and it's exciting she will be able to present her photos and knowledge with so many years' experience in Paphs. She's received countless AOS awards. She attends to the daily work primarily by herself, rarely hiring someone for repotting. Husband, Bill, has always been a loyal supporter at shows and making sure the greenhouse equipment works properly. They're a great couple! Many years ago Theresa and I used to eat lunch together in the greenhouse or walk to a nearby tiny cafe. Of course, we talked orchids. Theresa always shared information that was new and interesting. I'd come to be thrilled by first-bloom seedlings and specimen-size breeding plants. This is an excellent opportunity to learn important aspects of growing and breeding top Paphs from someone avidly interested in them. --Judy |

I just hope that one day I will be in a position to attend another one of these symposiums. It is always a wonderful event to attend and I trust you will all enjoy it. |

| Hi folks! I'm trying to decide whether I can actually come to this -- newly immersing myself in paphs. | |||
